→ ABOUT  LOS PLATITOS
The history of Los Platitos dates back to 1960 when Antonio Bianco opened a foodtruck on the Costanera of Buenos Aires (city’s north riverside). The spot offered a menu based on “choripán” (grilled pork sausage sandwich) and beef sandwich. In 1972, the foodtruck became a restaurant called “Los Patitos”. Five years later, in 1977, he named it “Los Platitos”, making a subtle joke with the previous name. 
That new location was a huge one, with wooden walls, granite floors and leatherette brown chairs. Careful attention to customers was a distinction of the place. In 2017, the spot in Costanera closed, but the quality products and the endearing service of a traditional grilling family was never forgotten. 
In 2022, Los Platitos reopens, moving from Costanera to downtown Buenos Aires. The proposal seeks to preserve the essence and tradition that have always characterized the restaurant. This new version of “Los Platitos" takes us back to the original foodtruck where everybody could eat the best grill on the go.

→ CONCEPT
With the aim of recalling the mythical restaurant of the 70s, Los Platitos wants to position itself as the new grill bar in downtown Buenos Aires. The proposal seeks to reach the traditional consumer and at the same time, to target a new audience from a more renovated place. The idea is to make up the traditional seventies grilling visit to Costanera, by coming out with a modern environment and a nostalgic spirit.
